Creator and managing director Yvonne Crook has developed View Marketing into one of Scotland’s most dynamic and forward-thinking creative agencies with an international client base.
Currently working as consultant to the Duke of Buccleuch on a master plan to develop visitor services for Buccleuch Leisure, Yvonne is also playing a key role in master planning for a new leisure enterprise on a country estate in Wales as well as strategic planning the new leisure development for Perth Racecourse.
With over 25 years of marketing and business development experience, Yvonne began her career in the public sector with responsibilities including business, community and tourism development in the Highland region; valuable experience complimented by her role as a business partner in several successful tourism-related businesses.
Yvonne has specific expertise in branding and strategic marketing, winning View high profile contracts including destination brands such as Loch Ness, Slovenia, Kitzbuhel, Denmark and Speyside – the home of Malt Whisky.
Together with leisure and tourism consultant Professor Terry Stevens, Yvonne has earned an international reputation for expertise in international destination development, jointly creating destination development strategies for Denmark and Scotland as well as playing a key role in their implementation.
A Fellow of the Tourism Society, Yvonne is regularly asked to present innovative solutions at international tourism events, while her strategic focus gives depth and meaning to tactical marketing campaigns delivered by View Marketing.
Graduating with a BA (Hons) in Marketing and Human Resource Management from Strathclyde University, Angharad has worked with View since 2002 and plays a leading role in converting strategic marketing strategies into successful tactical marketing campaigns.
Angharad has significant experience in developing effective, results driven and creative marketing and communications campaigns for clients. Successful campaigns include the visitor marketing campaign for Drumlanrig Castle; implementation of a multi award winning marketing campaign for Jacobite – Experience Loch Ness; tactical marketing campaigns for Perth Racecourse and Achnagairn House; rebranding and integrated marketing campaign for The Dairy at Daviot; and ongoing communications and marketing strategy for Good Highland Food.
Angharad has a particular interest in web and digital marketing and is experienced in the development of websites which are user friendly, design focussed and that perform well in search engines, keeping her skills up to date with regular training.
Laura graduated with a BA (Hons) in Marketing and Modern Languages from the Strathclyde University in 2002. Experienced in the planning and management of projects and events, Laura plays a key role in the development of View’s master planning activity. Skilled in both primary and secondary research, she also provides a high standard of project management activity for destination development projects, creating, implementing and analysing stakeholder feedback, investigating best practice case studies and market trends to better inform marketing campaigns.
Laura recently coordinated a comprehensive stakeholder consultation involving workshops and a major tourism industry conference in Dumfries and Galloway and has played an integral part in developing the business plan and securing funding for the new Destination Development Organisation. In addition, Laura’s research and ideas formed the basis of the business plan and brand strategy for an exciting new tourism development planned for a large country estate in Wales.
Hilary is a language graduate from the University of Glasgow, graduating with a BA (Hons) in French. Hilary assists in successfully delivering marketing and creating and managing effective PR for View’s diverse client base, managing the production of marketing materials, as well as writing and distributing press releases to targeted media.
An accomplished copywriter, Hilary creates copy for a range of client marketing materials too, and continues to advance her skills through ongoing creative personal development.
Also experienced in event management, Hilary has played a key role in managing the Highland Tourism Awards, developing the food and drink festival, Highland Feast, and creating the very successful inter-school competition: Battle of the Chefs!
