Serial entrepreneur, Freda Rapson, took over leisure cruise business Jacobite in Spring 2002, retaining View Marketing until Spring 2008 to rebrand, relaunch and market the company.
Meticulous planning and market research led to the implementation of an innovative and ongoing marketing campaign, which has seen ‘Jacobite – Experience Loch Ness’ receive numerous accolades including Best Visitor Attraction Leaflet (Association of Visitor Attractions); Best Visitor Marketing Initiative (Highland Tourism Awards); Highlands and Islands Tourism Business of the Year (Highland and Islands Business Awards); and Tourism Business of the Year (National Business Awards for Scotland).
Perhaps most significantly, the sustained marketing campaign combined with the continued improvement of customer care and stylish refurbishment of the Jacobite fleet, has seen visitor numbers rocket from 38,000 to over 112,000 over the six year period.
