Serial entrepreneur, Freda Rapson, took over Jacobite in Spring 2002, and View Marketing has been working in tandem with the cruising business from the start. Meticulous planning and market research has led to the implementation of an innovative and ongoing marketing campaign. This has seen the re-launch of the ultra-stylish, new-look Jacobite fleet, which includes a luxury coach, smartly liveried in their corporate colours for maximum impact.
Since 2002, Jacobite have received numerous accolades including Best Visitor Attraction Leaflet 2003 from the Association of Visitor Attractions, and Best Visitor Marketing Initiative 2003, from the Inverness Tourism Awards, Highlands and Islands Tourism Business of the Year, from the Highland and Islands Business Awards, and Tourism Business of the Year, from the National Business Awards for Scotland. However, possibly the biggest reward of all – for Freda and the team at View – has been the dramatically increased visitor numbers, which have rocketed from 38,000 to over 100,000.
