The Aviemore and the Cairngorms marketing initiative has become one of the UK’s first Destination Management Organisation’s (DMO) following the development plan created by View Marketing and Stevens and Associates. The Company is led by 6 key business people in Aviemore and the Cairngorms and significant investment from more than 50 businesses following a successful recruitment campaign by Yvonne Crook of View Marketing, as acting Interim Director. The development plan for the DMO is endorsed by the World Tourism Organisation and supported by the Carnegie UK Trust.
The new DMO has recently taken the Highlands and Islands Tourism Award for Best marketing initiative with a range of strategically developed and creatively presented marketing literature “of a quality and standard not previously seen in the Highlands and Islands” the judging panel of HITA
